Saying 'Happy Holidays' isn't taking away your Christmas...Chill!

I have always been a passionate, outspoken humanitarian when it comes to equality and fairness in all facets in life, whether it be issues that are tackled in the workplace, education and our communities, but this supposed "war" on Christmas has definitely pushed it's way into the hearts & minds of Hardcore Christmas Addicts near and far. I, myself am a huge lover of this time of year, not just for the jolly ho-ho-ho's with a cup of Jo but for the love and laughter from one person to another, the coming together during the cold blistering winter months to reminisce, reflect and remember that we are all here for a good time, not a long time, let's make the best of it. 

You can still say Merry Christmas people, nothing is stopping you from doing so. But public, government organizations and companies are choosing to include all races, religions and traditions at this time of year by saying Happy Holidays. Honestly, I seem to be having this discussion more and more lately and it just seems counter productive to complain about this.

Also, lets not forget Canada belongs to the aboriginal people and they never celebrated Christmas. If someone wrote a 10 part series on the history of Aboriginal people, 9 books would be about them, and 3/4 of the 10th book would be written about Aboriginal people, and that last quarter would pay tribute to the people that emigrated from Europe and invaded North America, to which in this continent the Thanksgiving holiday is celebrated, which in my opinion is not much of a party and more so a funeral service for the day aboriginal people and their traditions were put below the invaders beliefs and opinions. With all the hatred and racism in the world today, especially after Trumps uprising in to presidency, what is the point about complaining about this specific thing, it seems just as silly as people complaining about the Starbucks cups. You can still say Merry Christmas, you're not going to be put in Holiday Jail if you do so. Complaining about something as trivial as, "They're taking away Christmas, I can't call it a Christmas Tree anymore?" doesn't put you in the best light to say the least.
